I was delighted to present my most recent research on 'Conservatism and Mental Health Policy Across the UK' at Old College, University of Edinburgh. The core findings suggest that Conservative parties across the UK diverge in their approaches to mental health policy.
Merseyside Conservative Ladies Luncheon Speech
It was a real pleasure to speak at the Merseyside Conservatives Ladies Luncheon and to have the opportunity to share my story—how my early life experiences shaped my perspective and inspired me to get involved in politics. I spoke about the values that drive me, the importance of personal responsibility, aspiration, and community, and why those principles led me to the Conservative Party.
Conservative Mental Health Group Christmas Fundraiser for Combat Street
It was a pleasure to speak at the Conservative Mental Health Group's Christmas fundraiser in support of Combat Stress. I spoke about the charity's vital work to support serving personnel, veterans, and their families with their mental health and why I chose to run 36 miles in support of the organisation. There were also fantastic speeches from Aubrey Holt (Founder of the Conservative Mental Health Group), MPs, and Shadow Ministers.

Young Minds Fundraiser Event (The Carlton Club) Danny Bowman Speech
I had the honour of organising a fundraising event for Young Minds, where I spoke about the crucial need to support young people's mental health. The event included inspiring speeches from Tom Madders, Chloe Westly, and Aubrey Holt, each sharing their valuable insights and experiences. Together, we raised a significant amount of money to aid the vital work of Young Minds in advancing youth mental health support.
Rethink Mental Illness Fundraiser Event (The Carlton Club) Danny Bowman Speech.
I was delighted to organise and speak at my fundraiser event for Rethink Mental Illness at the Carlton Club. I spoke about the charity's brilliant work supporting those with severe mental health disorders and how it has positively influenced my life. I was extremely grateful to have Hannah from Rethink Mental Illness, Chloe Westley (former Special Advisor to Boris Johnson), Dr Luke Evans MP and Aubrey Holt (Founder of the Conservative Mental Health Group) speak openly about their experiences and work on mental illness. ​We raised a total of £1,050 for the charity!
DumptheScales Eating Disorder March Speech: Parliament Square
I was delighted to support Hope Virgo and her #DumptheScales campaign by giving a speech on eating disorder services in Parliament Square. I stressed the importance of the UK Government providing appropriate resources to the NHS so that no one with an eating disorder is left waiting for support.
Conservative Students Reception - Student Mental Health in a Post-Covid World
I was delighted to address conservative students from across the UK on the issue of student mental health in a post-Covid world. Donations from the event went to charities supporting young people with mental health problems.
